Research and development activities generate and disseminate new knowledge, foster innovation, and inspire enhanced learning and teaching among faculty members and students at our Institute, as these developments are frequently integrated into the curriculum.
Research forms the foundation of scientific understanding in pharmaceutical sciences. It drives progress, leads to the establishment of modern laboratories and facilities, encourages quality research publications, builds collaborative networks, and cultivates a vibrant academic community with shared goals. There is growing evidence that students gain meaningful benefits when taught by faculty members who are actively involved in research—provided there is a proper balance between the resources and recognition allocated to both research and teaching. This concept, known as ‘research-led teaching,’ emphasizes the integration of a researcher’s practical experience and insights into the learning process. Mission
To motivate faculty members in the field of pharmaceutical sciences to actively engage in research alongside teaching, with the aim of publishing high-quality research articles in reputed national and international pharmaceutical journals.
To encourage the writing and publication of textbooks, reference books, and monographs in pharmaceutical sciences and related disciplines through recognized national and international publishers.
To foster a research-oriented culture among faculty by promoting the establishment of collaborative pharmaceutical research projects and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with reputed pharmaceutical industries, research institutions, and academic organizations. To support and guide faculty members in preparing and submitting research proposals to secure funding from prominent Indian agencies such as DST, DBT, ICMR, CSIR, AYUSH, and other pharmaceutical research funding bodies. To inspire innovation and originality in pharmaceutical sciences, encouraging faculty to develop novel drug delivery systems, formulations, therapeutic strategies, and other inventions leading to patents. To establish active collaborations with national and international pharmaceutical societies and professional bodies to facilitate knowledge exchange, joint research, and professional development.
Research and Development Achievements
"A total of 31 publications indexed in the Web of Science and 102 publications indexed in Scopus have been attributed to the Axis Institute of Pharmacy, Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. These contributions reflect the institute's growing academic and research presence in the pharmaceutical sciences, encompassing areas such as drug development, formulation science, pharmacology, and related biomedical disciplines."
