From labs to landscapes, our D. Pharm students explored the fascinating world of medicinal and aromatic plants during their visit to CSIR-CIMAP.

This enriching experience provided them with firsthand exposure to the cultivation, processing, and therapeutic significance of a wide range of medicinal plants. Moving beyond textbooks, students observed how traditional knowledge and modern scientific research come together to develop plant-based medicines and essential oils.

The visit offered valuable insights into plant identification, extraction techniques, quality evaluation, and sustainable practices in herbal drug development. It also highlighted the crucial role of research institutions in advancing natural product-based healthcare solutions.
